Interviews: PURVEYOR OF CHAOS

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Heavy Metal/Hard Rock band, PURVEYOR OF CHAOS from Canada. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Tenbears, the bass player, came up with that one. We were down at the jam place and decided we needed a new name. Then he just started throwing out different names. When he said Purveyor Of Chaos, it stuck to the wall and we told him to shut up. Lol.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It's raw, defiant, heartfelt, full of emotion and it sounds sic.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Indeed. We were friends - some as far back as elementary school.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Bess likes King Diamond or Sabbath, Tenbears - Lamb of God, Wintersun. Maxel - anything with Dio. Fast Eddie - Sabbath also. Priest.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Events and experiences that happen in our own lives, as well as worldly events strike a raw nerve.

6. Where was your last gig?

Our last gig was Spot 1 just north of Toronto.

7. Where would you like to act?

We love outdoor festivals anywhere in the world really. Wacken would be absolutely stellar though!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Black Label, Megadeath, Testament, Lamb of God. (If we could ever hope to be that good). Too many to mention really. Lots of great local bands that would be great to feature with also.

9. Whom not?

In the all-encompassing realm of metal, there's really no one we wouldn't play with.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

None of us have ever suffered from that. We're super stoked when we have a gig coming up. We love getting up in front of a crowd and giving them all we got. I guess we're all just a herd of show-offs. Lol. I think the best way for beginners to minimize stage fright, is just to pretend you're at your jam space running through your tunes. A stage performance is really a glorified rehearsal with a shit-load more energy being thrown out.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

That's a tough question. I think we're inspired by any band that gets up on stage and throws down heavy.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Ummm... We're not at, uh.. liberty to say.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are everything! There is no bigger rush than having people out there that dig your music. We consider our fans as an extended family. We love 'em.

14. What do you think of our site?

It's a sic-looking site. Well designed and easy to navigate.

15. Something to add?
