Behind The Artworks: Vintersea - Woven Into Ashes (2023)

1. Who created the artwork?

As with our previous album, Illuminated, the artwork was created by Xenoyr, the vocalist and artistic director of one of our favorite bands Ne Obliviscaris. Xen creates incredible artwork, and has a real knack for capturing the feelings and themes that we are trying to get across with our albums. It was pleasure to work with them through this process once again!

2. What does the artwork represent?

There are some great details in the artwork - some of which we are still discovering for ourselves! The concept of time is very important to this album, as well as the concept of life returning from the ashes of those gone before. Xenoyr did an incredible job of highlighting those themes and added in some great details. Look carefully, or you'll miss them!
