As Aimless Glory - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Metalcore/Hardcore band As Aimless Glory from France. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Our name means that we make music above all for pleasure ! We want to share it with as many people as we can, meet great people, travel... and do all of it with the bros we are !
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Like in most of the bands, every member have is own inspirations and our genre is a mix of what everyone of us loves in metal. It's a good compromise of everyone's musical tastes we all are happy and proud of it.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Actually not really ! Damien (bassist) and Benjamin (Lead Guitarist) are the last original members. Anthony (singer) joined the band few months after and they knew him from gigs in Nice and Cannes (French Riviera). Then around a year after, Benjamin found Jeremy's and Tom's profile on facebook (Rythm Guitarist and Drummer), he contacted them, and after auditions, they joined the crew.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Benjamin : It depends on the moment. Currently, I listen to Like Moths To Flames, Attila, Architects, Northlane...
Damien : Bring Me The Horizon and The Devil Wears Prara.
Tom : Obviously : Dir En Grey ! I've been loving their music and their off-the-wall side for years, and I think not enough people know them ! Otherwise, I also love Architects, Bring Me The Horizon, Like Moths To Flames and Crossfaith.
Anthony : Emmure, The Arrs and Rise Of The Northstar
Jeremy : The Devil Wears Prada, Memphis May Fire, Like Moths To Flames and Rise Of The Northstar
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Benjamin : At first I try to transpose my feelings and violence into music. Then I refine it so as to fit with everyone's expectations, and of course depending on our current inspirations.
6. Where was your last gig?
It was in Nice, just before taking a break for recording our incoming album.
7. Where would you like to act?
Wherever we can ! But we'd like to play more gigs abroad and return in Spain because it was such a magic experience !
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
It would be Randy Blythe, Chris Roetters, Frankie Palmerie and Sauce Boss
9. Whom not?
David Guetta ?
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Usually, Damien get an urgent need to do a poo and Tom is about to pass out just before going on the stage! Having stage fright is not a bad thing for a musician. If you know how to keep control, it also can be changed into an explosive atitude once you are on the stage ! Just keep in mind that if you are prepared enough, there is no reasons why worrying. Try not to think of anything but you are here to share what you love with people who came to have a freaking good moment with you!
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
We really try to have our own sound, even if some people seems to think we are a dull plagiarism of Emmure, well that's their opinion. But if we'd have to define a direction for the band, a general inspiration to know where we go, it would be Like Moths To Flames and Attila.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Signing an autoghaph ?
13. What do you think of your fans?
Obviously, they are the reason why we do what we do. A musician is nothing without people who listen to his music. So we are really thankful to everyone who support us, listen and like our music and come and see us in live if they can. We do our best to create the best music that we can, and knowing that it can touch some people is a huge satisfaction for us! Moreover, we can easily talk with them on the social networks like Facebook or Twitter and it's always a real pleasure to do it !
14. What do you think of our site?
It's awesome !!! It's terrific to see that some people are moving to promote bands in our style, regardless of how popular it is. Metal is probably the genre that counts such a bounded community and we have to be proud of it. So nice going buddy ! (By the way, thank you for having made us discover the Nintendocore, this is awesome !! )
15. Something to add?
Thank you for this interview ! We want to thank all the people who support us from the bottow of our heart, we hope you will like our incoming stuff ! We way release a litle surprise for you guys by early April, so stay tuned !
