Louder Than Thunder - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you a new interview to the Post-Hardcore band Louder Than Thunder from Italy. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview and also like their FACEBOOK PAGE cause these band is epic.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The idea for our band name came to me, Andrew (I'm the guitar player) and it refers in a funny way to the fact that we are heavier than many of the bands here in Rimini. It's taken from a song from one of my favourite bands, The Devil Wears Prada. 

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We all played in other bands before this one and we played a lot of genres, from pop punk to trash metal.When we started this band we decided to combine all of our influences and post hardcore was a natural choice. 

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Some of us played together in other bands before this one.None of those bands was doing well so we decided to start Louder Than Thunder to take it to the next level.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Our drummer Gianluca is really into Trivium, you can say from his youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=asWWl_8cMiM). 

Our guitar player Daniel and our singer Luigi love Escape the Fate. 

Our bass player really loves Blessthefall. 

Our screamer Tom loves Crossfaith and japanese bands in general(One Ok Rock ecc...) 

My favourite bands are Architects and We Came As Romans.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Besides playing guitar, I also write all of the lyrics in our songs. I think I'm inspired by a lot of situations.I always try to write lyrics that can inspire people.

6. Where was your last gig?  

We are currently in the studio recording our debut ep so we are not playing live gigs at the moment. Our debut single is ready to go and we'll release it in a couple of weeks. 

7. Where would you like to act?  

Our first goal is to start growing our fanbase here in Italy, but for the future we would like to play in the US and Japan. It would be a dream come true!

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Here in Italy there are a lot of great heavy band: collaborate with any of them would be awesome, and we are working on it.

9. Whom not?  

Blood On The Dance Floor.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? 

I don't think anyone of us has this kind of problems, playing live is the best thing in the world and we always have a lot of fun. If you are a beginner just think about that: all of the anxiety will go away in the moment you go onstage and play the first note  

11. What bands have inspired you the most? 

Blessthefall,We Came As Romans, Architects, A Day To Remember, Escape The Fate and many others. 

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for? 

Well, last summer we played a gig in a small club in Italy and in the  crowd there was this creepy guy who was standing in front of our guitar player. No emotions, no reactions...he really scared me, he seemed like made of wax ahahah.

13. What do you think of your fans? 

We really love our fans, they are like a family to us. We also hope to reach more people now that we are close to release our music through the internet.It would be great to meet more people who like your music because here in Rimini you can't find a lot because everyone here is involved with crappy pop music or afro music.
