Seething Akira - Interview

seethingakira_poker_1abc5a3

Hey Breathing The Core fans, here we bring another interview, this time to the Post-Hardcore/Electronic band called Seething Akira, they are from UK, this band is excellent and this interview is interesting to read, don't forget give a like to their FACEBOOK PAGE, nothing more to say, so enjoy this new interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

It was pretty much spur of the moment. I had an Akira poster in my bedroom, the character Kaneda was on the main feature, he looked seriously pissed off, to the point where he was seething, so, without much though, as with most things we do, Seething Akira was born.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

Because its ours. Its fair to say its a mish-mash of lots of genres, but I've always thought the point of music making should be to create something that's new, and not like everything else, especially in this day in age where kids are more interested in fitting in than showing true creativity.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No, thank god. The band pretty much pulled us together. Kit (vocalist) was on the Island of Wight being an inbreed, and I (Charlie/writer/vocals) was too busy trying to be cool.. this never panned out because I'm ginger.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Kit - Erasia (look it up kids)

Charlie - Cliff Richards

Stu - Queen Ifrica

Le'Jay - Vanessa Paradis

Harvey - Elton John

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

We always feel we can "do better" with the next one, We've always got ideas flying around too, so we're just compelled to keep writing.

6. Where was your last gig?

At MK11 in Milton Keynes last Saturday! It was fancy dress.... Kit was dressed as Jesus and I was Kickass..... a quite unlikely vocalist duo.

7. Where would you like to act?

That venue at the end of Scott Pligrim

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

I'm actually going to be serious on this one, The Prodigy.

9. Whom not?

U2... soul destroying ass badgers. Anyone that feels they need a "The.." before their name deserves to be run over by the ugly steamroller.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

The moment you realise it doesn't actually matter what people think about you or your music, is the moment you'll start performing to your potential. And oddly, that's when people start loving it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Biffy Clyro, no so much musically, but they toured small venues around the country for 11 years before they started gaining real recognition. Now that's fighting for your dream.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A pubic hair, due to their golden glow.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Seriously? I love them, to think they're getting something out of the stuff we produce is a great feeling!

14. What do you think of our site?

Rather good.... rather good indeed.
