SIBERIA - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metal/Metalcore band SIBERIA  from Spain, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE.  We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band. 

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

We have some names to pick up, and we ended with Siberia because everybody in the band liked it.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We don't plan in the begining to play any specific genre, we started to compose what we like most and ended up with this. We want to express all range of feelings and this genre fits very well for us.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Yes, we are all long term friends, from 10 years ago or more, and also we have two brothers in the band.

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Carlos - Killswitch engage,

Marc - Parkway drive,

Victor - Gob forbid,

Daniel - Alter bridge

Alberto - Porcupine tree.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Basically are experiences in our current days, all is related about our moods.

6. Where was your last gig?

A festival here in our town, Montmeló (Barcelona). We became winners of a previous band battle contest, and the prize was to open the festival.

7. Where would you like to act?  

Everywhere is a nice place to play our music, we like the small venues and the bigger ones too, everywhere is fine for us.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Killswitch engage, Sylosis, The sorrow, Parkway drive, God forbid...

9. Whom not?  

Maybe with people that doesn't appreciate the underground metal/hardcore scene.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?

Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  Stage fright no, but we are a little bit nervous before the show, just a couple of minutes before we hit the stage, but when we start to play the first chord it leaves immediately. A tip for the beginners... focus that you are playing with your friends the music that you have composed and just have fun.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

Killswitch engage, Times of grace, Dream Theater... to name a few metal influences but we listen a lot of different kind of music.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

At the end of a gig, one guy approaches to Victor: -Can I take a picture with your guitar? -Yes, sure! -You don't have to be in the picture.

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We don't see as fans, we see like they are friends that comes to our shows.

14. What do you think of our site?  

It's cool that exist a site that give support to underground bands.
