Under Ember Skies - Interview
Hey Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore/Hardcore band Under Ember Skies from Canada so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE, We have nothing more to say, enjoy this excellent interview of this more excellent band.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
Our old bassist Branden came up with it, we were at this meeting where these promoters got a bunch of local bands together to play a upcoming show. We hated the band name we had at that time so we started thinking of different band names on the spot. Branden wrote a few down and "Under Ember Skies" happened to be all of our favorite.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We all love metal, even though a lot of us like different sub-genres of it we manage to put what we all love into our songs. We also love to experiment, there's been plenty of times at practice where we'd randomly start playing hip-hop/rap instrumentals and someone would attempt to rap.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Deni and I knew each other since grade 1 (2002) and it's the both of us who decided to start a band in grade 7. Milan our current guitarist wasn't into metal at the time so we didn't ever think he'd be in a band with us. In grade 9 I was introduced to Blake through Mutual friends and he was the best vocalist we've ever had and best we've known locally. Couple of years later we were still looking for another guitarist and that's when we realized Milan listens to a lot of the bands we listen to now, so we asked him if he wanted to join and he seemed stoked about it. In 2013 Blake introduced the band to Akash who he's met through a community called Toronto Skyline, they've supported the band a lot so big shout out to them. Akash later introduced us to our current bassist Ryan. Ryan is one of the most chill dudes I've ever met and is a great bassist, I'm glad he's joined us.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Inspiration always comes randomly to me there isn't really someone or something that inspires me to write, however seeing people enjoy our music definitely motivates me to continue making music. I'm positive everyone in the band can agree on this. The feeling you get when you see people jamming to something you took part of making is amazing
6.Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was at the Comfort Zone for United Fest, the venue was 19+ so some of us had to wait outside until it was time for our set.
7.Where would you like to act?
Everywhere we can, especially Europe I've never been there and it's where most of our backgrounds are from.
8.Whom would you like to feature with?
Never really thought about that, I guess anyone that the band likes and is good.
9.Whom not?
Anyone that the band doesn't like and isn't good.
10.What bands have inspired you the most?
Any band that I've seen start off with nothing and get some where inspire me the most. I still have to rent a amp for every show and I carry the gear through public buses to get to them. All I own our 2 guitars and half a amp. Luckily our drummer has a car so he doesn't have to worry about carrying his kit around on foot.
11. What do you think of our site?
Awesome site for smaller bands to get recognition, keep up the good work
