Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Post-Hardcore band A Room Swept White from UK, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We needed a band name and our original vocalist saw the book. After the first show it just stuck!

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

We love the high-energy vibe that is created by this kind of music, especially at live shows. We had all been in bands before which were all kinda heavy, so the music we write just comes out that way.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Apart from bringing in James the drummer right at the beginning, every member that has joined the band has been a friend of at least one of the guys in the band at the time. James was the only person who knew Alex B, the original bassist, when he joined.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Ryan– The Cold Harbour

Alex – Architects/Blink 182

Michael – Feed The Rhino

James N - Volumes

James F – Periphery/Heart In Hand

Probably three of us would’ve put Architects if Alex hadn’t got there first!

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Being into music from an early age and seeing our favourite bands live always played a big part. We’ve all been going to rock/metal shows and festivals as kids, and James F has been visiting festivals with his family almost every year since the age of about 3! We’re just inspired by what other bands are doing and the feelings you have towards music, whether you’re in the crowd or on the stage.

6. Where was your last gig?

We played at the Tunbridge Wells Forum supporting Climates & Acres, who are currently touring the UK.

7. Where would you like to act?

There isn’t really an exact place we really want to play, but getting on to the Vans Warped Tour in America would be a massive achievment! Looking a bit closer to home, we’re looking to tour up North and we’re really hoping to get ourselves out to Europe in the near future.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Loads of bands come to mind. Architects, While She Sleeps, A Day To Remember, Foo Fighters, Heart In Hand, Feed The Rhino, POLAR, Landscapes. We could go on for ages!

9. Whom not?

There isn’t really anyone we would say we wouldn’t want to perform with. Except the extremes… Playing with Nicki Minaj would be shit!

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Not too much, we do get a bit nervous from time to time but we just focus on having fun on stage. Making jokes and stuff before you go on is a good way to help yourselves relax. Mike was a bit nervous when he joined, as it’s quite a different place to be compared to his old Indie band. The best way to get confidence on stage is by rehearsing a LOT, so everyone feels comfortable with what they’re doing.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

All sorts, Architects, While She Sleeps, The Devil Wears Prada, The Ghost Inside, A Day To Remember, and a bit of Feed the Rhino. A lot of Punk and Pop-Punk vibes are added from Alex. We know that the scene doesn’t want another, Architects, or While She Sleeps, that’s why we try to combine all our influences and try to come up with something a bit different (although every band says that!). The two James’ on bass and drums like some more progressive stuff like Volumes and Periphery, and James F is a big fan of the drumming in progressive rock bands like Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

A 14-year-old girl asked a couple of the guys if they wanted to go round her house and get high… Of course they declined!

13. What do you think of your fans?

The people supporting us are amazing and to be told you’re doing something right is such a great feeling. It really helps us to keep writing and performing, and if people had never come to our shows in Crawley early on to buy our music and merch we probably wouldn’t have ever gotten round to writing this new EP!

14. What do you think of our site?

Looks really professional! It’s great for smaller bands to be able to get the word out about what they’re doing, as we all work so hard on music and videos and stuff. It’s such a shame if you spend months writing and recording a new EP/album and no one hears it!

15. Something to add?

Thanks for the interview; we’re really excited to get our music out to more people! We’ve got new merch and videos on the way, which are looking awesome too!
