Motherkissers - Interview

Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Motherkissers from Italy, so here you can see and give a like their FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

Well, the band started in late 2011 without a name. We had many choices but no one of it was impressive. One day Api the Genius (bass player) had a great idea: Motherkissers.  Basically the name reflects our easygoing personality.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

To express our thoughts with violent music and, of course, because we really like it.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

No. Dan left a message on many forums to find band members and Api answered one of these messages. He already knew John (they played in the past in the same band), and John brought Teo. Motherkissers born after the first meeting.

4. Each band member favorite band?

Dan: Incubus

John: Alice In Chains

Api: Every Time I Die/Architects

Teo: Ill Niño/System Of A Down

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Our life experiences influences us in every word and note.

6. Where was your last gig?

Aosta, Italy.

7. Where would you like to act?

Surely, USA, UK and Japan.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Faith No More, Deftones, Incubus, Norma Jean, Every Time I Die and many more.

9. Whom not?  

I don’t know… Maroon 5 (ha ha ha!)

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

It’s normal to have emotions on stage when you play for your friends or even for 100.000 people. For me, the best way to subdue is to not take care of oneself. Play and destroy the stage buddy!

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Surely Faith No More, Deftones, Incubus, Every Time I Die, Refused, System Of A Down, Alice In Chains and many many more…

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

I plead the Fifth Amendment (ah ah ah!)

13. What do you think of your fans?  

It’s always a pleasure to play for guys that really appreciate our music, both banging heads and jumping all over the stage, and just quite listening arm across drinking beers.

14. What do you think of our site?  

We think it is so exceptional what you are doing for the metal/hc scene guys. The site is very cool and interesting.
