Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Metalcore band Cloak & Dagger from Australia, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1 .Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Jordan: I think I just liked the phrase and the connotations of secrecy associated with it. Plus I’m a bit of a comic fan and Cloak & Dagger is a Marvel superhero team so there’s that too.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Oli: I basically developed my music taste based around metal. So it pretty much just happened naturally for me. That and, I love the energy that goes into the live performance.

Jordan: For me it’s just the music I like listening to so I wanted to make similar stuff.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Oli: We all went to the same school, except for Alex. Funnily enough, Nat and I were actually at the same school for about 8 years before we really knew each other existed.

Jordan: Yeah Alex’s school was our school’s rival, so we still give him shit for it from time to time.

4. Each band members favourite band?

Jordan: It’s a tie between Bring Me The Horizon, The Devil Wears Prada and The Amity Affliction

Oli: Tough call! For all round band, Avenged Sevenfold. Give them what hate you will, but they were the band I grew up on and I’ll always love them for that.

Nat: Gojira  Alex: Vildhjarta

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Jordan: For me, writing the lyrics is just how I deal with certain feelings or situations. It’s really cathartic to be able to get all your negativity out in a positive kinda way.

Oli: It’s pretty much just a combination of little ideas I have in my head and just jamming off of them. Jordan and I will often get together and just try and put together some lyrics and some music we have and it builds from there. I try to draw inspiration from a wide variety of sources. It’s so easy to box yourself in, but there’s so much out there for you to experience.

6. Where was your last gig?

Oli: A cool little club down in Fremantle called The Railway Hotel.

Jordan: Isn’t that place a strip club too? There were posters of half naked girls everywhere.

7. Where would you like to act?

Jordan: We play literally anywhere that will have us! We’re not fussy, we just love playing our songs to people.

Oli: What he said

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Jordan: Well, it’s always cool to play shows with your mates so I just wanna play music with good people and have beers afterwards.

Oli: I can’t drink beer, but you’d better believe I’ll get on the spirits before and after the show.

9. Whom not?

Oli: Oh wow.. There’s probably a lot of things you can learn by jamming with different people. We don’t really have beef with anyone.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

Jordan: I used to get really nervous before going on stage but not so much anymore. Really the only advice I can give is to just get out on stage. Gets easier every time.

Oli: I’ve been performing for a majority of my life, but there’s never really been an issue in it for me. Sure everyone gets that rush before they play, but it’s up to you how you decide to use it.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Oli: The bands that didn’t give a fuck and went with what they wanted to write. There are always going to be groups pushing the boundaries of music, so props to them. Personally, Randy Rhoads and Dimebag Darrell are my main inspirations for my guitar style.

Jordan: Bands that try to do different stuff are always good. I listen to lots of different bands and I think it’s cool to take a bit of inspiration from all of them.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Jordan: A threesome with me and Oli was a strange request. Sadly we had to decline.

Oli: What a time in our lives.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Jordan: It’s still weird for me to think that people I’ve never met like our music, so I really appreciate it.

Oli: Totally. I mean; if just one person can listen to our tunes and feel something or enjoy it, then I couldn’t be happier!

14. What do you think of our site?

Oli: Love it! It’s always great to see people willing to support both the local and international scene and promote it to a wider audience on social media.

15. Something to add?

Oli: Defend pop punk.. Not really

Jordan: Thanks for the interview
