Visionless - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Djent/Melodic Metalcore band Visionless from USA, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We got the name kind of ironically. We (myself and Dakota) were up talking, trying to find names and we had no clear vision for what we wanted, so I suggested Visionless, and we both liked it and that's how that came about.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We both have been fans of Progressive Metal and Metalcore styles for a long time, and we knew that this is what we wanted to play.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
We've been best friends for around 7 or so years.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Sean - System Of A Down and/or Periphery
Dakota - Periphery.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Sean - I've always been heavily inspired by bands like Meshuggah, Sikth, TesseracT and Periphery, as well "core" bands, like Of Mice and Men and Bring Me The Horizon. Those few bands really shaped how I write.
6. Where was your last gig?
We haven't played live as Visionless as of yet.
7. Where would you like to perform?
We both tend to think pretty realistically in terms of where we'd like to play, and ideally we'd really like to play pretty large club-ish venues. We have a nice House Of Blues really close, and we'd love to play there. On a bigger scale, Madison Square Garden would be really rad to play.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Both of us would really enjoy to play with Periphery. Periphery especially has had a huge impact on our playing and writing, and it would be an absolute blast to perform with them.
9. Whom not?
Anyone not related or even loosely related to our sound/style.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
We both have some limited performance background, and I feel that being confident in yourself and your music, can really help with overcoming the stage fright.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
We both can say that Meshuggah and Periphery have had the most impact on us musically.
12. What’s the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Luckily haven't had any strange or weird things said/asked yet haha.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We don't have many yet, but the ones we do have are amazing and we love each and every one of them.
14. What do you think of our site?
Your site is awesome! I check it out almost daily.
