From Dusk Until Dawn - Interview
Hey, Breathing The Core fans, here we bring you another interview of the Deathcore/Metalcore band From Dusk Until Dawn from UK, so here you can see and give a like to his FACEBOOK PAGE. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
From Dusk Until Dawn is our initial name. One of our members came up with the idea and it just stuck with us and our fans.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
Metal has been a big part of each of our lives, we’ve all grown with it and embraced it through its many forms, whether that be Thrash, Prog, or Tech etc. What makes Metal stand out to me is the honesty it brings; its ability to touch upon the real and important issues of the world, as well as its loyal fans who are generally open minded and willing to accept the more aggressive, yet sincere forms of music.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
We all met through our music course and recognised each other’s passion for metal.
4. Each band member favourite bands?
Liam Engel: Faith No More & Butcher Babies
Matt: Killswitch Engage & Parkway Drive
Kelvin: Periphery & Velvet Revolver
Jordan: Periphery & Dream Theater
Liam Oliver: Architects & Rings of Saturn
Kurt: Lamb of God & 36 Crazyfists
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
The range of inspirations we each have contributes to how our songs are written. Kurt and Jordan provide the more rhythmical sections to songs, whereas Liam Oliver compliments Kelvin’s riffs in a melodic and harmonic fashion. Generally songs are created through a series of riffs and rhythmic sections which Matt and Liam Engel will compose their vocal lines over, balancing their clean and harsh parts.
6. Where was your last gig?
Reading
7. Where would you like to act?
We’re contempt with the smaller and more intimate venues but it would be a dream come true to eventually play a stage as large as Wembley Arena
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We’d love to work with some major magazines such as Rocksound, Kerrang!, Alt Press. As well as be signed to a similar label to any of the favourite bands we mentioned, such as Century Media, Nuclear Blast, Sumerian etc.
9. Whom not?
We’re usually up for playing any show; we’ve even played on the same bill as a Jazz band before. We’re open to new and different experiences.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright?
I don’t believe so, although we can imagine the larger stages being very nerve racking. We enjoy what we do so there’s really no need to be nervous.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
All the bands we listen to have inspired us one way or another, whether that be simply giving us the inspiration to pick up an instrument and learn or to influence us in our creative process.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
We haven’t encountered too many weird fan questions... yet.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Without fans we’d have little reason to continue as a band, every ticket sale, track download and positive comment we receive gives us more reason to pursue our goals.
14. What do you think of our site?
Your site is brilliant. All efforts to help benefit the metal community are truly appreciated, especially by lesser known bands such as us. Keep it up! Thank you for interviewing us.
