Red Ny - Interview

In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Post-Hardcore/Electronic band Red Ny from Malaysia, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them. We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?  

The band's name on the inspiration by the lead singer of the band in which Nadia wears facebook unique nickname and known at the time. So, one of our bandmate EMY has proposed the name "RED NY" where it is a symbol for our vocalist Nadia, who is also a fan of red color at that time and it is also a spontaneous idea to fill our first show in 2014 because many names the band has been proposed but rejected by some of our bandmate. However! even today this name has been impacted by a positive impact on performance and also our career as a musician underground

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

We want disorder in terms of preparing the music, the catchy melody and rhythm also in the form of singing happily. We choose the genre "Post-Hardcore / Screamo Electro" because we have two vocalists in which men participate in the screams singing and women participate in the clean singing and the lyrics are accustomed in the form of questions and inquiries. And the selection of this genre also gave us the momentum to make a presentation to see the audience "singing along" and "make steps" when music fell into her objection.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?  

Nadia and Elyas were playing together in other band before "RED NY" , they met Emy and "RED NY" was formed. We met Khalid a bit later and he replacing our old guitarist Imran (play drums with another band) and now he play drums on RED NY as sessionist

4. Each band member favourite band?  

Where in my opinion one of them has different interests to hearing music, perhaps it is an indication to diversify their skills and patterns in music composition. Here the favourite bands of our bandmate:

Nadia (Paramore,Hey Monday,We Are The In Crowd and all the R&B songs)

Emy (Eyes Set To Kill,Memphis May Fire,Tonight Alive)

Elyas (Sleeping With Sirens,Architects)

Khalid (Shokran, Born Of Osiris )

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Everyday life, routine, people or nature that surrounds us. Basically everything. From art to global events or emotions inside.

6. Where was your last gig?  

Our last gig on June 04, 2015, we were called by the organizer of "Kawan Fest" to perform together with japanese band named "Yum Yum Orange"

7. Where would you like to act?  

Anywhere where people come to listen to us, to sing with us , to enjoy concept of our music and it would be nice if we can travel to overseas so we can met new environment and new music attachment from another country

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

Basically people , bands that inspire us and we listen to or share the same mindsets. Good people.

9. Whom not?  

I never thought in my head.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?  

Okay, we've been in situations where the audience does not give a good support to the music that we bring. Maybe too modern or they do not know the songs that we brought .The tips is, contrive presentations confidence and attract an audience and who knows after this yet many can accept. Yes! CONFIDENCE

11. What bands have inspired you the most?  

My Answer Is! Old band formation who fail may be formed by genre? Songs or whatever, in which its provided the inspiration for a better future

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?  

The really weird things fans ask from us is "I want to be Nadia's boyfriend" LOL

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We love our fans! They keep support our scene , our music since we started of the band!

14. What do you think of our site?  

Your website is the best platform for bands like us to develop our potential overseas or wherever! And this page also has the potential to raise the names of the band and also introduced a new underground music that is able to make something unique and different ! This page deserved to get known because it have the own style on how to get the people to attracted in the music and bands that they want to know clearly (Y) A big respect from us!
