Lane End - Interview
In this new occasion we have the great opportunity to interview the Deathcore/Metalcore/Djent band Lane End from UK, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
We couldn't think of a name for a long time, so we looked for existing names. We decided on one of our houses names "Lane End". Nothing special about it at all, just needed something to be recognised by.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
We wanted to start a heavy band, so went for metalcore originally. The original line ups favourite band from the genre happened to be parkway drive so they basically started our band. However, we do not write metalcore anymore, it's a lot different now.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
The original line up all new each other as we all lived in a small fishing village together. However, that's not the case with the current line up. As we met one at college, and one was a friend to Adam/Bailey but me and Jonny didn't know him. But we're all great mates now.
4. Each band member’s favourite band?
Matts: Code Orange or Electric Wizard Adams: Gnarwolves Camerons: Twitching Tongues or The Acacia Strain
Jonny: Periphery or Veil Of Maya
Bailey: Various DnB artists
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
"High Tides" is purely inspired by Parkway Drive and past experiences. However, newer material takes darker inspiration and current life experiences.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was at Mono in Falmouth.
7. Where would you like to act?
We'd love to play mainland europe and more areas of the UK we haven't been to yet.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
We'd love to have Vincent Bennet, Cj or Nergal to feature on newer material, but that costs money. (Villains vocalist/Alex Teyen would be cool also).
9. Whom not?
Anyone that wouldn't suit our newer material.
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
Everybody suffers from stage fright, but without fear you aren't human, so you need to channel it positively. Use the buzz it gives you leap around stage more etc.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Currently, our material is inspired by Oceans Ate Alaska, The Acacia Strain, Veil Of Maya.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
We've been asked for merch that doesn't exist, that's about it really. Nothing too extreme yet anyway.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans are great, they learnt the lyrics to our older material so sing a longs etc are a feature at our live sets.
14. What do you think of our site?
Your site helps promote underground music, good job.
15. Something to add?
We should be recording newer material for release in 2016. However, lifes a struggle with university etc.
