Interviews: Pegasus

In this new occasion we have the awesome opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Pegasus from France, here we will let you their FACEBOOK PAGE to give them a like and follow them.We have nothing more to say, so enjoy this interview!

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

Thomas: Continents is band which inspired me a lot these last years. Their song "Pegasus, Pegasus" is a call for freedom, to free yourself from your chains  and live without drowning. It makes you understandt that when really you want something you have to go for it It's the perfect representation of Pegasus, and a state of mind which fits me.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?  

Because we love it! We have all listened to this genre, been to gigs and even played for years. It all came naturally, it was obvious that we would play this kind of music.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Thomas: Sylvain and I started the band with guys we already knew or played with. After some changes, the lineup settled with people who met through the band for some or knew each other before

4. Each band member favourite band?

Raph: En ce moment, Black Tongue

Damien: Northlane

Florent: Periphery

Thomas: Make them Suffer

Sylvain: Devil sold his soul

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?  

Damien: Listening to a lot of music helps us a lot to find ideas. We're really inspired by the modern metal scene, but we are carefull not to copy our favorite bands!

Thomas: Events of the past and future inspire me a lot. Our society is fucked up, many things are faked or hidden on different levels. That's what I want to say through my lyrics.  In our Ep, the point is to show the strengths and weaknesses of people through a Fairy Tale metaphor.

6. Where was your last gig?

In Lille, our hometown! We had not played for almost 6 months, we had been busy recording the Ep, shooting the clip etc.. And it was awesome to come back on stage !

7. Where would you like to act?

Everywhere! As long as there is an audience and some energy, we are ready to play! Of course there are some shows or famous festivals we dream of... We hope to do all of these some day.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?  

With artists such as Architects, August burns Red, Periphery, Monuments, Northlane..  We really love their style!

9. Whom not?

We also like to play with artists from other styles,  we don't think there are people or bands we would not be willing to play with.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

The first time is not the easiest, wether in front of small or large audience. We have all already experienced it, but not so much that we could not play. A simple tip, don't overthink it. Anyway, people come to enjoy the moment. If you don't, they don't. Give all that you can, and it will be fine.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Damien: Northlane, While She Sleeps, In Hearts Wake, Periphery.

Thomas: Slipknot, Continents, Linkin Park, Make Them Suffer.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

We haven't had weird requests yet.. We hope we will one day!

13. What do you think of your fans?  

We are lucky to have them! When we feel down, which happens sometimes, it helps to have some feedback from our fans. They sometimes tell us things which encourage us. This motivates us to continue and to do better.
