Interviews: Brother Wolf
In this new occassion we have had the pleasure to interview the Melodic Hardcore band Brother Wolf, from USA. Check out this band because they are amazing and do not forget to follow them in their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
An original member had it in mind for another project. We were booked for a show in the middle of the forest and needed a name in less than a week and went with our gut and decided to keep it.
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
I mean, it's fun, expressive, challenging, energetic, and a thousand other things. When this genre authentically grips you it rarely lets go.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
James (bass) and Cody (Vocals) did.
4. Each band member favourite band?
I don't really know if I could answer that, no one has any specific favorites. We listen to a lot of the same stuff; Ranging from The Contortionist to Capsize and From Indian Lakes to Architects. Collectively we listen to a lot of music, haha.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Anything and everything. The desire to create a song often fuels a load of the inspiration but just as much as life, the world, and all in between.
6. Where was your last gig?
We've been in tour for a couple weeks now but last night was Tampa, FL at The Noise Box. It was held at a packed little church youth room and the kids were nuts. It was awesome.
7. Where would you like to act?
Every inch of the planet. UK and Asia being some musts.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Man, that list would go on forever. To name a few I guess I would say Circa Survive, Architects, Every Time I Die, etc.
9. Whom not?
Florida Georgia Line
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
We I was younger I did. Just relax, take preshow time to warm up and prepare, and practice before hand so your confidence level is higher during your performance and stress level is lower.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
I wouldn't say "most" but I know growing up we all liked bands like Slipknot, Circa Survive, Underoath, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin and a lot more with a wide viariety.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
Nothing too crazy, but this one time a kid asked me to meet his mom at the show. *hahaha*
13. What do you think of your fans?
I mean, I think everything of anyone that enjoys what we do. Music is a two way street.
14. What do you think of our site?
It's awesome! Love the media coverage.
15. Something to add?
Our first release the Birthright EP is out now. You can snag it pretty much anywhere online; including Spotify, iTunes, and YouTube. We're currently writing new music.
