News: ETERNAL SLEEP Premieres First Single From The Emptiness Of... Debut LP Via Lambgoat; Closed Casket Activities Posts Preorders‏

Pittsburgh's ETERNAL SLEEP has issued the first single from their impending Closed Casket Activities-bound debut LP The Emptiness Of..., through an exclusive premiere at Lambgoat, as the label issues the street date, artwork, preorders and more on the album.

Recorded at Bricktop Studio with Andy Nelson (Harm's Way, Weekend Nachos, Dead In The Dirt) and mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege (Nails, Obituary, Integrity), The Emptiness Of... delivers quite a few surprises throughout its ten-song duration. But third track "Red Herring" is one of the more straightforward tracks on the album, seeing ETERNAL SLEEP delivering a monolithic slab of Stockholm-influenced distortion and hardcore-driven pummel; think Buried Alive fueled with Wolverine Blues distortion.

Closed Casket Activities will release The Emptiness Of... on all digital platforms and on 12" color vinyl May 20th; preorders have been posted at THIS LOCATION.

ETERNAL SLEEP has been confirmed to play this year's installment of the massive This Is Hardcore in Philadelphia, confirmed to share the Electric Factory stage with Integrity, Ringworm, Nails, Full Of Hell, and more on Friday, August 5th. Additional widespread tour plans are just days from announcement as well; stay tuned.

The current iteration of band ETERNAL SLEEPcame together in 2012, the members culminating their influences citing the works of Damnation A.D., Coalesce, Tad, Melvins, Alice In Chains and a wide array of metallic hardcore and grungy metal into a bruising, groove-fueled attack. The band has issued several short releases to date -- including the Lessons demo cassette as well as the Dead Like Meand Belief In The Truth Of Northing 7" EPs -- and has earned the respect of hardcore and metal fans and bands alike having toured the US several times and Europe once supporting the likes of Bane, Code Orange, Harm's Way, Madball, Discourse, Axis, The Beautiful Ones and more, including a performance at This Is Hardcore in 2015. Now, 2016 sees the band returning to TIHC and touring heavily in support of their debut album, The Emptiness Of..., joining Xibalba, Disgrace, Twitching Tongues, Incendiary, God's Hate, Harm's Way, and many others on Closed Casket Activities' brutal roster.
