News: Storm The Sky Reveal New Track "Jaded Ghost"; Touring With Pierce The Veil in August‏

Melbourne-based death-pop band STORM THE SKY have returned with their most dynamic track yet, “Jaded Ghost”. A cautionary tale about the perils of holding on to a damaged relationship, frontman William Jarratt gives fans an intensely personal insight into a broken relationship and wrestling with feelings of resentment verses fear of being alone.

"Jaded Ghost is about something that I’ve been tearing myself apart over for almost two years and it felt incredibly good to finally get it into a song.” says Jarratt. “Just before flying to America to record 'Permanence' the person I was with completely destroyed me. I barely made it onto the flight because I went out and tried to forget who I was the night before. Even though I hated what she did, she was everything to me at the time and I put everything I had into that relationship and it was easy to hold onto it.
“So, naturally when I couldn’t handle being alone with my life and brain all over the place, I let her back in,” he continues. “I did it in the most selfish way possible, for comfort. I never let her forget what she did to me and it was borderline cruel and I couldn’t be more sorry for that. It was the best and worst three years of my life and I’ll never regret any of it because it matured me a lot. The experience has gotten me to the best mental state I think I’ve been in. Though the bad days are worse than they used to be, they’re being doused by the sheer amount of good days I’m lucky enough to enjoy."
Jaded Ghost is the second taste of new music in 2016 from one of Australia’s fastest rising heavy rock bands. Back in January, Storm The Sky quietly teased a new song with “S.W.F.Y” appearing on after they announced the departure of founding member Daniel “Breenie” Breen via a letter they posted their fans in the mail.
Storm The Sky’s debut album Permanence was released in 2015 and debuted at #45 on the ARIA chart with Rolling Stone Australia declaring “Storm The Sky combine doomy head-banging and uplifting choruses in a genuinely thrilling way.” Since then, the band has been finessing their live show, clocking up the kilometers touring with Sleeping With Sirens (US), In Hearts Wake and Chiodos (US), as well as selling out their Permanence National tour in 2015.
Storm The Sky will be back on the stage on June 18 in Melbourne for the Sin Will Find You Experiencewith Luca Brasi, Trophy Eyes as well as an eclectic line up of incredible live music. Tickets are available from OzTix

In August the band will be back at it hitting venues nationwide supporting Pierce The VeilBeartoothand Silverstein.
