News: CORTES UNVEIL VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE ‘TOWERS’

London trio Cortes are set to return with their second track ‘Towers’, released August 19^th 2016 via Ignition 45s’.

 ‘Towers’ is the follow up track to their critically acclaimed and BBC Radio 1 Playlisted debut ‘Close To Nowhere’ which dropped in May 2016 and saw the band storm their way to Devon as part of BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend Festival.

The track marks the bands first release with independent record label Ignition 45’s through Ignition Records the label that started many up and coming bands including Darlia, Pretty Vicious and Baby Strange whilst the main Ignition label has released records from Primal Scream, Stereophonics and The Coral amongst others.   

Written and recorded by the band and Larry Hibbitt at RAK Studios in London the track features a groove laden bass line and the unmistakable vocals of Andy Cortes, who went on to say this about the track:

“Towers shows a softer, more sensitive side to Cortes whilst retaining some of the rawness of Close To Nowhere”
