News: SLEEP ON IT SIGNS TO EQUAL VISION RECORDS; NEW EP 'LOST ALONG THE WAY' OUT OCTOBER 21

Chicago, IL’s Sleep On It has signed to Equal Vision Records and will release their new EP, Lost Along the Way, on October 21. Today, the pop punk outfit is also premiering a new song and music video for "Unspoken" via Alternative Press. The EP was recorded with producers Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Knuckle Puck) and Derek DiScanio of State Champs. Pre-orders for the EP are available now at sleeponit.merchnow.com.

“Over the course of the last year we have all experienced a lot of loss in different ways,” notes vocalist Zech Pluister. “Friendships fading, relationships ending, loss of family members. All of the songs on this release have something to do with wanting to be remembered, missing someone, and questioning the losses we've all been through in some way or another.”

Guitarist TJ Horansky adds, "For me, "Unspoken" is about dealing with the aftermath of losing a close relationship. I think most of us tend to bury parts of ourselves within other people that we let close to us, so dealing with irrevocable hurt and the inevitable change that accompanies growing up stings that much more. Zech and I generally split lyric writing; This song was especially inspiring to write because we have both been through similar situations and had a lot to say together."

Sleep On It is comprised of Zech Pluister (vocals), TJ Horansky (guitar/vocals), Jake Marquis (guitar/vocals), AJ Khah (bass) and Luka Fischman (drums). The band formed in Chicago, IL in 2012 but unveiled a new lineup this past Spring with the debut of "Burning at Both Ends", which introduced Pluister as Sleep On It's new frontman.

To date, the band has shared stages with the likes of Hit The Lights, Transit and Conditions, and performed at the 2015 Vans Warped Tour Chicago date as well as at Riot Fest Denver and Riot Fest Chicago in 2015. Sleep On It will next perform at the Riot Fest Official After Party in Chicago with Black Foxxes, before heading out on a short run of dates with Cute Is What We Aim For.
