Interviews: The Distopian Project
In this new occassion we have had the opportunity to interview the Progressive Rock band The Dystopian Project, from Ireland. Check out this band and give them a like on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?
The name was inspired by the lyrics for a song that ended up on our debut release. The song is called "Dystopian", its off our EP "Death Leaves an Echo"
2.Why did you want to play this genre?
All of us have come from the hard rock side of things. We had each individually taken that as far as we had wanted creatively, so progressive rock was the next step for us.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Some of us did. Past bands and friends, others were new to the table.
4. Each band member favourite band?
Those kinds of questions start arguments! :)
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Each one of us has our own story to tell. We each have our own way of doing things and places we draw ideas from.
6. Where was your last gig?
We are actually doing our first live public performance this year.
7. Where would you like to act?
The Royal Albert Hall would be pretty cool.
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
Headline!!! A Night with The Dystopian Project.
9. Whom not?
None that come to mind right now...
10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?
Everyone suffers from stage fright. Always remember, people are there to see you, they want to be entertained. Have fun with it and it should flow nicely.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Not any single band so to speak, but genre's, movements of music have really helped shape how we sound.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
To sign a body part.
13. What do you think of your fans?
We love our fans, and hope to keep them entertained
14. What do you think of our site?
Its great!
15. Something to add?
