News: Acid Rage releases new album!
Hailing from Belfast, Northern Ireland, ACID AGE regards their music as “Hyper-Thrash”. As the name of their genre suggests, this thrash brigade’s sole intent is to play at maniacal speeds and spreading the gospel of thrash metal. Fans of Cryptic Slaughter, Whiplash and Razor will find their high-speed needs fulfilled by this Northern Irish group.
“Like a Runaway Combine Harvester…” is the hyper-thrash ensemble’s third album, two years in the making, deals with life in a thrash metal band in a humorous way. They build on their musical influences, throwing into the mix elements from psychedelia and jazz, as well as hitting grindcore speeds, leading to some unexpected parts that may bring to mind acts such as Suicidal Tendencies. The production ensures that the band should find itself in the playlist of thrashers as well as punks.
“There are many ways to create intensity without it just being under produced and fast all the time.Production wise it is a lot glossier than anything we’ve ever done. I am really proud of it. This is how I have always wanted us to sound and it is how we really sound.” – Jude McIlwaine (Guitars)
