News: FROM RUST 'Lost Sense Of Life', out 25th November

Somerset riff slingers From Rust were originally spawned in 2014 by long-time friends Jake Searle (Vocals) and Camden Gibson (Lead Guitar) who wanted to create music that pulled apart the usual formulae of metalcore, yet remained true to their influences and beliefs. After a prolonged search, the duo sought out kindred spirits - Tom Waters on Rhythm Guitar, Bassist Sam Elswood, and Sam Kellaway on Drums. The quintet honed in on their sound for many months before hitting the live circuit at the end of 2015 where they soon snared a series of impressive support slots with Despite My Deepest Fear, Thrones, Values and Materia. With an affection for the likes of Parkway Drive, Northlane, and All That Remains, the up-and-coming riff beasts continue to find their own characteristic voice in the alchemy of creating music.

By the start of this year, From Rust were ready to lay down tracks for their debut EP, Lost Sense Of Life. The band left the studio with a highly promising debut record complete with five engrossing tracks of premium metalcore. From the first hammerjack strikes of the gut-wrenching Whispers, to the pummelling beatings of Inside Out, which pitches abrasive vocals against veracious guitar lines, and the unstoppable pounding groove of Predictable Pain, it’s clear that From Rust are soon to rise above their current station. Grey World continues to compound the band’s dominance with its utter power and layered guitar work, while the closer Gone Forever signs off the EP in style with its blistering riffs and fiery refrain that will circle your cranium for many moons. With national shows in the pipeline, there’s much more to come from this rising Brit metalcore crew.
