Interviews: Ethereal Flames

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Symphonic Power Metal band Ethereal Flames from Italy. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, did you plan it or come out just like that?

We were looking for a high-impact name that would represent our burning passion for music and our origins. Passion burns in our hearts like "ethereal flames". 

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

It is the only one that can fully express the epicity of our stories.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Music has brought us together over the years. However, the Ethereal Flames project definitely joined our ways.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Matteo Brillarelli: IRON MAIDEN

Thomas Mencarelli: ANGRA

Alessandro Binotti: YNGWIE MALMSTEEN

Andrea Palmieri: BLACK SABBATH

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

The love for our land is told through its fantastic legends.

6. Where was your last gig?

Each of us had different live experiences with past projects. Ethereal Flames are now starting to tread stages all over Europe.

7. Where would you like to act?

Wherever there is a stage and passion for music.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

Any musician shares the same passion for metal.

9. Whom not?

With those who do not respect the passion for music and fans.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

Once we get on stage and hold our instruments, all our fears dissolve.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Definitely Powerwolf, Hammerfall, Stratovarius, and Malmsteen..

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To give us a chocolate doll "matrioska" and ask for an autograph on the plane ticket.

13. What do you think of your fans?

Fans are the flame that fuels our passion...
