The song was inspired by our love of Poppy hardcore and punk bands like Face to Face, Social Distortion, Jawbreaker, Big Drill Car, Descendants etc. The theme was simple: it's about looking at everything with fresh eyes and going at life with that ideal. Ryan and I come from Music from very different styles. Ryan has a much more Pop and Melodic side to his tone and writing. I come from the more Metal and Hardcore and 90s NYC Punk ideal. I wrote the lyrics and sung this one and it comes from the Big Drill Car/ Social D vocal style for me, upbeat and snarl. Ryan and I did the guitars and they Just worked with his Hooks. I wanted to just add a bass line that gave it the Skate/ Surf punk vibe and Ryan got the underlying Synths and the groove drums down.

It was recorded in Ryan's Studio in his back room like we always do our stuff. We got the whole thing recorded in I think 3 sessions over like 8 days in 2023 as I live in Texas now and Ryan is in Florida. I came to stay with him to record a few times. Idiot Robot is always Ryan coming with a few songs and then I help with sharing guitar, bass and vocals. Colors & Sounds Ryan had the guitar riff and went from there. I added the lyrics below. It's simple but works.
