Interviews: Demonic Ecstasy

On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the  Blackened Deathcore band, Demonic Ecstasy, from Iran. Check out the interview and follow the project on his FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come out just like that?

Due to the interest of the rhythm guitarist (Mehran) in the dark styles of metal music, he suggested the name Demonic Ecstasy, which is the name of one of the songs of the American thrash metal band Warbringer. It can be considered the dark part of oneself.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

Because this is one of the best genres that can show the darkness that lives in our minds.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Yes, we were friends before we started the band, but not that close. The band made a great brotherhood for us.

4. Each band member's favorite band?

Anthony is really into The Archaic Epidemic, an American deathcore band. Amir loves Humanity's Last Breath’s sounds, they always manage to give him some goosebumps. Mehran always talks about Spite and their unique style of playing and Babak likes Gregg Puciato and his band The Dillinger Escape Plan.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

All the injustices that are going on in the world and all the tears that are shredded in the dark because of them inspired us to do something with our own weapon, music.

6. Where was your last gig?

We have not performed any live shows yet, but we are preparing some songs for live performances, there will be good news soon.

7. Where would you like to act?

Since in our country metal music is prohibited and a crime against the regime, we will have to leave the country in the near future. But at the moment we have not decided to live and perform in a particular country.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We love all the legends of the metal scene like Dickie Allen, CJ MacMahon, CJ Mccreery, Tom Barber, and Will Ramos, etc. and we would be super happy if one day we can have a feature with any of them.

9. Whom not?

There is no one that we wouldn't like to have a feature with. All the musicians around the world can make mistakes because they are human.

10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

It's normal to have stress when you want to play for the crowd. It will pass, no worries.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Bands like Dimmu Borgir inspired us a lot, the atmosphere that they made at that time was really epic and brutal, Lorna Shore and bands like them are our other inspirations.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

One time a fan asked us to send them the mp3 file of our song for free 😁

13. What do you think of your fans?

Our fans are the best fans ever, they support us as much as possible. They really did everything to make sure everyone streamed our new song after we released it.

14. What do you think of our site?

You guys are doing your best to reach the band's voice to all the people around the world. We appreciate you!

15. Something to add?

We released our song on World Women's Day, the 8th of March, in honor of all the victims who have been horribly killed by religion. Mona Heidari was a 17-year-old girl whom her husband and her brother-in-law brutally beheaded. Femicide and honor killings are growing like cancer in our country. It would be great if you reach their voices to people around the world.
