Interviews: Forbidden Myth
On this new occasion, we have had the opportunity to interview the Rock/Heavy Metal band Forbidden Myth from Greece. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name, you plan it or come
out just like that?
We searched for a name to describe a band that writes material based on epic
stories. I believe that “Forbidden Myth” is the perfect name to describe all that
we had in our minds…
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We like prog and epic music a lot. Also, we like concept albums. So we play
epic prog rock/metal!
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Yes, we have collaborated with each other on so many projects before Forbidden
Myth. Most of us are close friends.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
I cannot tell you about bands, but about genres. From classical music to jazz,
from ethnic to electro, and from rock to metal, and everything in between!
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
Our favorite bands and albums, fantasy and horror books and movies!
6. Where was your last gig?
Unfortunately, we have not done live shows with this project. I hope to do
some live shows in the future, to present the albums to the audience.
7. Where would you like to act?
It’s not about the place but about the time and the way. Forbidden Myth is a
very big project (nine singers and many musicians) and it’s difficult to find a common time for rehearsals. I hope to find a solution and do some live shows
in the future…
8. Whom would you like to feature with?
The Neal Morse Band!
9. Whom not?
Many Greek artists that you do not know…
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for
beginners on how to beat that?
Many of us have played many gigs, so there is no problem. The more
rehearsals a band has done, the less the stress on stage…
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
The Beatles, Pink Floyd, WASP, Queensryche, Rainbow, Toto, Aphrodite’s
Child, Rush, Dream Theater, Styx, Uriah Heep, Socrates drank the Conium, and many others!
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
No fan has ever asked me something weird…
13. What do you think of your fans?
They are great and we want to thank them for their support!
14. What do you think of our site?
It’s very cool, I like your interviews and reviews very much, keep up the good
work!
15. Something to add?
In the near future we will start writing the story for the next Forbidden Myth
album, the final part of the trilogy. All the best to all of you!
