Behind The Artworks: HRAEFN - Research Into Infinity (2024)

 

We do not like to give a lot of explanation to the lyrics of the songs, because everyone has their own interpretation and even our interpretation might change over time. Writing lyrics is not a straightforward process and is very much a thing that is guided by the subconscious. The same goes for the cover art in a way, but it's maybe easier to explain than the lyrics. The "brain in a jar" idea was actually Michael's. It refers to the philosophical thought experiments around this concept and the realities that our brain constructs. But it's also just a nice, unsettling picture, for sure. We also wanted to get away from the experiments that we did with our earlier cover art and really go for an analogue vibe, which already feels retro on its own.
