Interviews About Albums: DISORIENTED - Crossed The Line (2024)
In this new interview, we sat down with the Greek Groove Metal band DISORIENTED to ask questions about their album, "Crossed The Line".
1. What can you say about Crossed The Line?
We are extremely excited about Crossed The Line, as it is our first full-length album, which we’ve been working on for quite some time. It reflects the effort and dedication all members of Disoriented have put into delivering the best possible result to our listeners. We are very satisfied with the work done on Crossed The Line and hope everyone who listens to it will feel the same.
2. What is the meaning of the album name?
The concept behind the album’s name aligns with its title track, Crossed The Line. It metaphorically addresses our inner demons that have crossed the line and are no longer welcome in our lives.
3. Which one is the composer of the Crossed The Line?
The main composer of Disoriented is our guitarist, George, who wrote all the riffs for the album. However, each of us contributes to every track in our own way. For example, George (vocals) writes the lyrics, Kyriakos (bass guitar) writes the basslines and harmonizes George’s riffs and ideas, while Tasos (drums) adds his part to the drums.
4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?
We can’t really pick a favorite track because we love them all, but if we had to choose, it would probably be Only Gods Feel Pain. It’s got a great groove, outstanding vocals by George, and we feel the song’s vibe and sound suit us perfectly.
5. Is there a special message in Crossed The Line? If there is what is it?
There isn’t a special message included in Crossed The Line, but the main thing we want to show our audience is that we love what we do and give 100% every day to improve ourselves. The sky’s the limit.
6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?
"Something’s overstated
Calling them out, they say
Somewhere left created
An impulse left to stay"We’ll let you figure out which song of ours these lyrics are from!
7. Which inspirations have been important for Crossed The Line? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?
Our main inspiration, both musically and sonically, as others have pointed out, is Pantera. Specifically, Dimebag Darrell is a major source of inspiration for George (guitar), who, as mentioned earlier, is our main songwriter. We definitely want to thank our families for “putting up” with the madness, rehearsals, and late nights that went into creating Crossed The Line exactly the way we wanted.
8. Something to add?
We’re eagerly awaiting December 1st and hope Crossed The Line will be embraced by the audience as much as we’ve embraced it ourselves. And who knows? Maybe we’ll have the chance to play it live in Europe (for starters)!
