Behind The Artworks: Grey Mountain - Grey Mountain (2025)

Kishor (who created the art): Part of the inspiration for the album was the idea of isolated pockets of ancient cultures surviving in remote areas, cut off from civilization. How long can they last, and what happens when they're forced into contact with modernity? The album cover features a figure on a staircase, on the cusp of change -- either entering an enclave or walking towards a passageway to a different world. Regardless of what lies ahead, going forward on the path will mean leaving everything he knows behind.

I included references to some of the lyrics and song titles in the imagery. The glyph above the doorway is a reimagined version of the alchemical symbol for mercury, representing (among other things) transmutation, volatility, and transcendence.
