Behind The Scenes: Death Reapers - Wear Your Leather Proud (Official Video)

"Wear Your Leather Proud" is a song that focuses on the idea that you don’t need to be perfect. Instead, it emphasizes being proud of yourself, and your life, and not being afraid of what you love and are passionate about.

The music for the song was created first. The melody reminded our guitarist, Kamil, of the movie "Ghost Rider" and motorcyclists. We decided to lean into the vibe and make a music video that would show strength and power, worthy of paying tribute to the entire motorcycle culture.

The lyrics perfectly fit this concept and were written by our vocalist, Konrad. That left us with the task of creating the music video (shots, ideas, set design, locations, and the script). We knew what we expected from the video and what we wanted to show. We met a motorcyclist who agreed to star in the video. The next challenge was to find the right locations where we could set up equipment and shoot. Finding the right spot for a music video is always a challenge. Fortunately, there was no problem with the road – right next to Przytoczna (the town where Death Reapers was founded), there’s an unused road with a lot of character, where we could film without any obstacles. Additionally, thanks to Karolina, our bassist’s girlfriend, we managed to organize a garage that fit the shots perfectly. The garage was spacious and was actually a working workshop, which added realism and atmosphere to the song.

The shooting day started very early, with scenes on the road. The decision to start the shoot so early was influenced by several factors. First, it was the only available date when we could all get together to record the video. Second, summer heat was relentless – and the road was positioned in such a way that the afternoon sun would have been too unfavorable, as it would have been behind us, making the shots poorly lit. Filming the band on the road was incredibly satisfying, but also exhausting, as even in the early hours, the sun was already intense. Next, we had a brief moment to rest while recording shots of the motorcycle and riding scenes. After lunch, it was time for the garage shots. There was no time for a break after our scenes, as we had an evening appointment to film with three motorcyclists. However, the idea was so well-received by the whole crew that all the riders who could come gathered to "help" us in the video, ensuring there were as many bikes as possible in the clip.

That day was packed with driving, intensity, and absolutely no room for error or delays. Everything had to run smoothly – we couldn’t afford anything to slow us down, as every minute was precious. Fortunately, everything went according to plan.
