Band Biographies: Methodica
Methodica release their debut album “Searching For Reflections” in
September 2009 and then play live in several shows and festivals
(Pistoia Blues, Vallemaggia Magic Blues, 2 Days Prog, Exprog
Festival, etc.) as opening act for Skunk Anansie, Uriah Heep,
Riverside, Anathema, Marillion, Pendragon.
In 2012 the band releases the EP “Light My Fire”, containing an
original reinterpretation of The Doors' song (previously included in
the tribute CD to The Doors “Waiting For The Moon”).
In 2015, the new album “The Silence Of Wisdom” is released; it
includes eight new songs and a reinterpretation of the Genesis'
classic “Firth Of Fifth”. In July 2015, Methodica play live at “Pistoia
Blues Festival” as opening act for Dream Theater and
Queensryche;
In August 2016 and June 2017, the band plays across Europe as
support act for Queensryche throughout their whole European
tours, and in January 2018, is back on the road as support act for
the Fates Warning European Tour.
On October 2nd Methodica released the third full-length
"Clockworks", anticipated by three singles and videos: "A Trick", "A
Dystopian Tale", featuring Todd La Torre from Queensryche, and
"Before The Wrath".
On hold due to the covid pandemic, Methodica started writing new
songs, and in the meantime they released a tribute to Amy
Winehouse: a cover version of her worldwide hit “Back To Black” on
the 10th anniversary of her death.
The track is later included in the 4-track digital EP “The Black
Road”, released in February 2022, alongside cover songs of
Canned Heat and Maneskin.
At the beginning of 202,4 the band released three new tracks,
“Ephemeral”, “Mechanical Flowers” and “The Running Glow”,
included in the new album “Hypocricity”, released on 9th May 2024.
A brand new single “Trains” is going to be released on March 10th,
2025.
