Track By Tracks: Braveride - The Great Awakening (2025)
Describe the album as a whole
Epic power metal with symphonic orchestrations and unique classic guitars arrangements.
Strong haunted epic vibe corresponded to the album concept.
Describe each song track by track
1. Twilight:
The intro, which creates the right atmosphere with classic guitar (main element of braveride) and flute to get the listener into the fantasy world of the album.
2. Executioner:
One of the most direct and heavy songs of the album, Marcello’s voice catches the listener fast. The song speaks about a heavenly figure that came to bring justice and punishment.
3. Nightmares are real:
A song from the more epic side of the band with one of the best choruses of the album. It talks about the haunted world that gets in and who the people let the evil get bigger in the world.
4. Souls are marching:
Spooky melodies, unique structure, and changes in it. The evil army marches to war.
5. Temple of the unholy reign:
A neoclassical main melody with some black metal references (blast beat) and with a traditional power metal chorus to complete it. The first time we get a vibe and an “image” of the evil places of the concept.
6. The Gate:
Classic guitar as the main instrument, which drives all the song, but with heavy electric guitars on the chorus. Basilis Boledouris feeling can be found in it (percussions, orchestrations). The part after the second chorus is a great reference with the soprano (Gaby Koss ex-haggard) who sings above the classic guitar interlude. The hero finds the way to win the evil forces.
7. Delfekor:
A nice breath after most darker songs of the album, catchy violin intro, heavy guitars break into and one of the most power metal songs of the album. Different approach at rhythm guitars from first part to second. Delfekor is one of the most beautiful places in the world and the song gives a message that hope is not lost yet.
8. Unspoken terror:
The most crazy guitar-oriented song of the album, many different lead guitars from left to right and in the middle too create a haunted vibe, and with the help of different tone changes, creates one of the most unique songs of the album. The “manowar” style brake after the second chorus, with great choir, but with classic guitar again, and an electric guitar solo on it, showing our focus on the details. It speaks about the end that closes by.
9. Gionis:
Gionis is a special song based on Greek folklore myth, but I changed it a little to fit our concept. Very sad theme behind it and the guitars had to support the thematic, for that reason the main theme develops step by step at the beginning, but after that we had a spooky main part with Marcello singing with a more theatrical voice. It is one of the biggest choruses of the album, along with an emotional solo part. It talks about two brothers who had a tragic end because of an evil witch.
10. The Final Confrontation:
I enjoy composing long songs, but I always want to do it with care and a serious approach. The chorus sounds 2 times only and no big repeat of any part. The composition follows traditional classic guitar inspired from the great classic guitar composers from last century, the song is a big crescendo from the beginning to the end. Many elements and orchestrations of essential instruments carefully mixed together. The symphonic vibe is big because it is based in composition and not just on the sounds. The most folk-style chorus of the album, many guitar leads, phrases, and solos battle too. A great song as a closer to the album that describes the closure of the concept, too.
