Interviews: Intruded

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Metalcore band Intruded from the USA. Check out the interview and follow this band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1.Where did you get the idea for the band name, you planned it or came out just like that?

We originally were called Intrusive Minds, but we felt that a rebrand would fit us, we wanted something that fits with our music and it just felt logical.

2.Why did you want to play this genre?

People are genuine in this scene, and the music is personal and honest.

3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?

Some members knew each other; others were just found through contacts or at concerts.

4. Each band member favourite band?

Nathan: Loathe

Shawn: Iron Maiden

Dustin: Alice in Chains

Nate: Fleshwater.

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Our main thing that keeps us writing is the satisfaction it gives us. Writing for us is all about the art, the process and slowly getting better.

6. Where was your last gig?

Pop's concert venue. Great place, we are playing at Pointfest at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre this Saturday.

7. Where would you like to act?

We would love to someday play at The Pageant in St. Louis. It’s a really cool venue that we’ve all seen shows at.

8. Whom would you like to feature with?

We would love to open for Suicide Silence, another band we would love to open for is Loathe.

9. Whom not?

No one that specifically comes to mind. Just maybe bands who's audience wouldn't vibe with us. But in the end, we like to play with people and make connections with other cool musicians.

10. Any of you has ever suffered from stage fright? Any tip for beginners on how to beat that?

We all have bouts of nerves before we go on stage. Some more than others, but we try our best to calm it by just playing our instruments or singing and getting in the zone.

11. What bands have inspired you the most?

Suicide Silence, Loathe, and Knocked Loose are just a few bands that have inspired us.

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

To be honest, no one’s ever asked us anything too weird. Pretty much everyone we’ve talked to has been really cool.

13. What do you think of your fans?

They're really cool people to connect with and talk to.

14. What do you think of our site?

Your site is really cool. It's a great way to connect with new music and we appreciate all the work you do for the scene.
