Track By Tracks: Grindpad - Violence (2020)
1. My Name Is Violence
The album needed a short and aggressive opener.
So, these lyrics are somewhat of a poetic parallel between the evil in the world and the violence of Thrash Metal.
2. Burn the Rapist
A pissed off song based on an actual news item, sadly.
A woman was brutally raped in a bus (FULL of people), and some thought "that she asked for it".
I mean, WTF...
3. Toxic Terror
A nice classic horror story, based, for example, on movies like "Return of the Living Dead" & such.
4. The Knife Is Sharper Than Ever:
A classic party song that the crowd enjoys every time.
5. Justice Part 1: Crime
No lyrics.
6. Justice Part 2: Penalty:
A nice pissed off rant about assholes that disrupt society.
To quote good ol' Clint: "Hang 'em high!"
7. Revuelta:
A violent fictional story about a horrible prison riot. Partly in Chilean Spanish.
Sean Maia (vocalist Disquiet/Oproerkraaiers) is helping us out on this one.
8. Blood, Sweat, and Pride
An almost Hardcore-ish text about staying true to yourself and taking pride in being a member of the beautiful Metalscene.
9. Mature Love:
Ahh.... No comment (for 18+ only ;) )
10. MK Ultra:
A dark and intense narrative about mind control, manipulation, and the devastating effects of these practices. The song explores themes of psychological warfare and the abuse of power, creating a vivid and unsettling picture of a dystopian reality.
11. To Those About to Die:
Here we wanted a fast, razor-sharp song that would be catchy from beginning to end. That's how To Those was born.
12. Cephalopod Idolator:
A Lovecraftian horror story about all the ghastly things, lurking in the depths below...
13. X-Mas Mosh:
A tongue-in-cheek story about a hangovered Santa.
And he is watching you
