Behind The Artworks: Decadence Incarnate - Eternal Rebellion (2025)

The Eternal Rebellion cover art was created by Andrej Bartulović of All Things Rotten, an artist I’ve been collaborating with for over a decade, going back to my previous band Avenir. His style has always resonated with me. It’s heavily inspired by old-school horror, with a gritty, macabre flair reminiscent of Tales from the Crypt. That dark, retro aesthetic felt like a perfect fit for this record.

When we discussed the concept for the artwork, we wanted to depict the eternal conflict between good and evil — not in the traditional, sanitized way, but in a way that makes you question which side is truly righteous. The angels were deliberately designed to not look “pure” or “kind.” We didn’t want the “good” side to be obvious at first glance. Morality is often far more complex than that, and the visual had to reflect the same chaos, duality, and defiance that runs through the music and lyrics.

The result is an image that feels just as rebellious, confrontational, and thought-provoking as the songs themselves.
