Behind The Tracks: goneMUNE - AVERDONIA (Single) (2025)

Hi everyone, I'm goneMUNE, a dark experimental musician from Singapore. I'm deeply involved in every aspect of my craft, such as self-producing and mixing all my music, or editing my own music videos and content. In one of my newest songs, 'AMNESIA', I dive into universal themes of deep grief, loneliness and resilience, while introducing the world of my new cyborg identity, AVERDONIA. AVERDONIA was born from a place of deep self-doubt and exhaustion, mirroring the generational cycles of overwork, repression, and survival that have defined my family for years. The pressure to constantly produce, to prove my worth through labor rather than existence, is something I had to unlearn - and my art became the medium through which I did so. In 'AMNESIA''s music video, AVERDONIA's beginnings are revealed - created by an unstable scientist who takes their own life shortly after finishing their creation, the cyborg was modelled after the scientist’s deceased child and was programmed with the capacity for emotion – but without the known trigger for AVERDONIA to access it. AVERDONIA then begins a journey in search of humanity, facing strange encounters pulling them back to their human past, always feeling disconnected - until they meet a mysterious figure named V wearing a bandaged mask. Though his appearance is concealed and seemingly unfinished, AVERDONIA is drawn to him (The reason why will be shown in the next song), and it triggers them, causing them to bleed from their nose. As of now, the next single 'PRAYER', is already out, which continues the story of AVERDONIA. I hope you enjoy these two tracks and the upcoming songs to be released.
