Behind The Artworks: Pulpit Vomit - Hospital Lens (2025)

Hospital Lens is less of an album and more of a cracked window into the psyche of Miles Harren, also known as Patient 103. A man who once had dreams of playing piano in concert halls but now scribbles hallucinations on the padded walls of Greyhaven Institution. The image on the album cover captures Miles standing alone in one of Greyhaven’s endless halls. Stark. Fluorescent. Dirty.

The concept began as a series of short stories that guitarist/vocalist Seth Metoyer intended to develop into a screenplay. He's worked as a writer and film producer on over 20 feature films, so it made sense that this would find its form cinematically. But instead, the characters started screaming through distortion pedals.

The artwork itself reflects what this album is: a descent. A life paused at the intersection of delusion and memory. Miles doesn’t know what’s real anymore. And neither should the listener.
