Behind The Artworks: Thorndale - Spiritual Chains (2025)
Zigor: I always work very closely with Costin on producing the art. I can’t draw at all, but I do have a ton of visual ideas or dreams I like to turn into album covers. For this cover, I wanted him to bring back our “hero” from Lightning Spawn (you see him on the cover of our first album, shedding faces or stages of life) and to have him chained by the powers I mentioned earlier: religion, politics, tribes, societies, etc. It turned out amazing. I am thinking of calling the hero “Bob” (yeah, fuck it) and making him our mascot permanently.
Maarten: Stunning work on the artwor,k which is in line with the previous album.
Kike: Love it. Definitely feels like a continuation of the Lightning Spawn cover. Anything Costin touches turns out great.
