Interviews: Infest

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Death Metal/Thrash Metal band Infest from Serbia. Check out the interview and follow the band on their FACEBOOK PAGE.

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Was it planned, or did it just happen organically?

Vandal: We were young and wild, and wanted to have a name that could scare people around us. So Infest was the real one.

2. Why did you choose to play this genre?

Vandal: We are all fans of old school extreme metal, so it was not very hard to find ourselves in a genre such as we play.

3. Did you know each other before forming the band?

Vandal: Lots of changes happened with the members through the years, because many couldn't follow the way, but the first 4 members knew each other very well in the beginning.

4. What is each band member's favorite band?

Vandal: Very hard to say, but I believe Dismember, Immolation, Black Sabbath, and Iron Maiden

5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

Vandal: Living in the Balkans is totally enough

6. Where was your last gig?

Vandal: We played Austria, the Escape club in Vienna

7. Where would you like to perform in the future?

Vandal: Every stage on this planet

8. Which artist or band would you like to collaborate with?

Vandal: I believe there are many metal souls we would like to collaborate with, but metal is energy and passion, so we will see which energies will mix.

9. Is there anyone you wouldn’t want to collaborate with?

Vandal: I believe no.

10. Have any of you ever experienced stage fright? Do you have any tips for beginners on overcoming it?

Vandal: After more than 20 years, no fear, but always a lot of positive vibes

11. Which bands have influenced you the most?

Vandal: Uh, many... Iron Maiden, Dismember, Immolation, Vader, Kreator, Asphyx, Desaster, Sodom...

12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Vandal: Uh, besides drinking, not much stupid and weird stuff

13. What do you think of your fans?

Vandal: dedicated, passionate metalheads

14. What do you think of our site?

Vandal: I support it totally!

15. Is there anything else you’d like to add?

Vandal: WE ARE LEGION! Metal has no boundaries! Check out Infest!
