Interviews: Shellshock Lullaby
On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Pop Punk band Shellshock Lullaby from the USA. Check out the interview and this band.
1. Where did you get the idea for the band name?
The band name "Shellshock Lullaby" emerged from a creative exercise where we mixed various name ideas into three-word combinations. It stood out to us as the best option.
2. Why did you want to play this genre?
We’re drawn to the pop punk genre because of its energy and relatability. It allows us to express both fun and emotional themes, which resonate with us and our audience.
3. Did you know each other before the band was formed?
Some of us knew each other from the local music scene, while others became friends through the band as we came together over a shared passion for music.
4. Each band member's favorite band?
Each member has different influences, but common favorites among us include bands like Green Day, Nirvana, and Blink-182.
5. Who or what inspires you to write songs?
We draw inspiration from '90s pop punk and grunge bands, as well as modern rock. Life experiences, relationships, and the stories we all share heavily influence our songwriting.
6. Where was your last gig?
Our last gig was in 2021, and we’re eagerly looking forward to getting back on stage.
7. Where would you like to perform?
We would love to perform at larger festivals and iconic venues, possibly even touring internationally.
8. Who would you like to perform with?
Performing with bands like Paramore or Fall Out Boy would be a dream come true for us.
9. Who not?
We prefer to focus on the artists we admire rather than dwell on those we wouldn’t want to perform with.
10. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?
Yes, stage fright is common. We recommend practicing regularly, visualizing success, and focusing on the music rather than the audience to help ease nerves.
11. What bands have inspired you the most?
Bands like Green Day and No Doubt have significantly inspired our sound and approach to music.
12. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?
A fan once asked for our autographs on a pizza box! It was definitely a first for us.
13. What do you think of your fans?
Our fans mean the world to us. Their support keeps us motivated, and we love connecting with them through our music.
14. What do you think of our site?
We appreciate platforms like yours that support and promote independent music. It’s important for artists to have spaces to share their work.
