1. Purge:

 

The album opener "Purge" deals with the concept that negativity is an internal ailment. A struggle from within. It's easy to point to any external person or circumstance and pin it down as the culprit of your own suffering. Purge is about diving into your own mind to extract your own psychological parasite.

2. Compulsive Lies Repulsive Truths:

The age-old idea.

Would you rather be lied to and feel pleasure?

Or be told the truth, and feel pain. The album's title track opens the door to exploring the dichotomy of man and mind. Positive and negative, pain and pleasure. This song is its own purge, showing how both need to exist and balance each other.

3. Indulge the Disease:

Another initial thought of Archaic Disease was trying to decide what the oldest disease to mankind was. Consciousness, war, and murder could all be candidates. The concept of Indulge the Disease focuses on the many wrongdoings of groups and people hiding behind the veil of Christianity. This song explores the idea of all the people murdered at the hands of Christianity over 20 centuries, rising from the dead as an army. Destroying the powers that once destroyed them.

4. Affinity:

Affinity looks at the more cosmic terrors of singularity and the collective consciousness. While dabbling in the theme of astral projection. A space with potential for both promise and horror.

5. I Will Show You God:

The graphic personification of God as a thought, not a reality.

6. Godsent:

The essence of purity. Another assessment of the dichotomy of faith. Beginning angelic and innocent. Quickly becoming twisted and tormented, leading into the devastation and cruelty of Hellbent

7. Hellbent:

A ruthless perspective of how morbid the mind can become while putting blind faith in blind Gods. Hellbent is fast and violent. It explores the question: how much are you willing to destroy, in order to create something?

8. Bless the Nocturnal:

What happens when pain, suffering, and fear leave the soul? The energy becomes personified by the Nocturnal, the night. The negative energy doesn't stop existing. It simply transmutes itself from an internal void into an external blackhole. It must be acknowledged, validated, and given its space respectfully within the cosmos.

9. My Insanity:

The final descent into depravity. Continuing the story from all previous songs into one finale. Becoming so poisoned and intoxicated by the external world tgat we're forced to observe every day. Politico, Religio, Socio, all creating your personality. Becoming another clone of everyone else's beliefs except your own.

Absorbing the individual, now forced to face the last inner/existential conversation.

"Why am I even here, and why should I stay".
