Interviews About Albums: Animal Rage - Last Standing Man (2025)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Mexican Groove Metal band Animal Rage to ask questions about their album, "Last Standing Man".

1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?

This is a great first album and the best way to start our career as a band and as musicians. Something that means effort and sacrifices has finally become a reality

2. What is the meaning of the EP/CD name?

This new album for us means the opportunity to be out there showing our philosophy about fighting for what you want and being resilient. We feel blessed to be able to play our music all over the world

3. Which one is the composer of the CD/EP?

The music and the concepts are made by vocalist Abe Fënix with the help of our special guest drummer Aquiles Priester

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

Well, that’s a hard one, we love all the songs in this album ... But if I had to pick one, it would be “shadowless”

5. Is there a special message in this EP/CD? If there is what it is?

Most of the songs are about personal experiences and A cathartic process about something you would love to be but you are not! Bravery and the strength to face life

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

A hard one too, but the most meaningful song about lyrics could be “Ascending” since I lost my father back in 2020, and I use the pain to write this song, “You taught me how to be, and I am not scared. “

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Definitely my biggest inspiration is love, metalheads, and metal music, although they are hard and heavy, it’s always because of love that I thank for this album to my family, my wife, my parents, and my kids

8. Something to add?

Hope you guys enjoy this album, and somehow you might feel inspired too because of our music !! And keep fighting for what you love and being happy! Abe Fënix
