Interviews About Albums: Deadwood - Rituals Of A Dying Light (2025)

In this new interview, we sat down with the Canadian Death Metal/Deathcore band, Deadwood, to ask questions about their album "Rituals Of A Dying Light"

1. What can you say about this new EP?

This is the first EP with guitar solos and a more polished approach, while retaining the deathcore sound that defines Deadwood.

2. What is the meaning of the EP?

We wanted to set certain horror stories of humanity to music!

3. Which one is the composer of the EP?

I am (Fred Element is the founding member and main composer of this EP!) But everyone has put their own touch on it.

4. If you had to pick one song, which one would you pick?

I would choose Tales of Massacre!! I find this song endearingly violent!

5. Is there a special message in this EP? If there is, what is it?

He doesn't really have a message other than we're here to make deathcore angry again!

6. Are there some lyrics that you'd love to share?

I have a soft spot for a line in Tales of Massacre called Dark Legacy Tales of Massacre.

7. Which inspirations have been important for this album? Like musically or friends, family, someone you'd love to thank especially?

Our biggest inspirations are bands like Whitechapel, Meshuggah, and Despised Icon, who push us to be better! We play a style of music that is difficult to break into, but we work hard!

8. Something to add?

I would like to add that we are grateful to those who believe in us, and even to the haters who motivate us to prove them wrong! But our mission is to make deathcore respectable! Make Deathcore Angry Again. https://deadwoodmetal.com/
