Interviews: MILAD.MIM

On this new occasion, we had the opportunity to interview the Extreme Metal artistMILAD.MIM, from Iran. Check out the interview and this artist!

1. Where did you get the idea for the band name? Did you plan it or came out just like that?

The band name is actually my own name. In fact, it’s my own name, and I work solo, handling everything from instruments, lyrics, vocals, and so on.

2. Why did you want to play this genre?

This comes from childhood, where nothing but metal music could satisfy me. Over time, I developed different tastes, until eventually I chose deathcore and metalcore not only for listening but for active involvement. I believe this genre can bring me everything I envision.

3. What are your favorite bands?

I’m interested in bands like Lorna Shore, Sleep Token, Orbit Culture, Jinjer, Spiritbox,  and Nailed to Obscurity

4. Who or what inspires you to write songs?

It actually comes entirely from my emotions, feelings, and my perception of the environment around me.

5. Where was your last gig?

I haven’t performed live yet, but I hope it will happen soon

6. Where would you like to act?

Anywhere my fans are more numerous, I would like to perform there first

7. Whom would you like to feature with?

Currently, I am collaborating with a friend in a band, which is considered a separate project. This friend’s name is Nikolai, and he is a skilled musician and an excellent composer. In this project, Nikolai handles composition and instrumentation, while I am the lyricist and vocalist. This project is called Nightfall Dominion

8. Whom not?

I haven’t had anyone I wouldn’t want to collaborate with, and I have no resistance to this matter.

9. Have any of you ever suffered from stage fright? Any tips for beginners on how to beat that?

No, the performance I’m talking about was at a local, small scale. My advice is to free your mind from worrying about what might happen 15 seconds ahead and focus on the present moment, even enjoying it, which allows you to give your best.

10. What bands have inspired you the most?

In the earlier years, Linkin Park and Metallica inspired me, then in recent years Behemoth, and now Jinjer, Spiritbox, and Orbit Culture

11. What's the weirdest thing a fan has ever asked you for?

Generally, my fans are very cool and fun; so far, no one has asked me for anything strange

12. What do you think of your fans?

My fans and I are so close that it feels like we are family

13. What do you think of our site?

You are one of the best pioneers in supporting artists, and I personally admire you greatly for your integrity and professionalism

14. Something to add?

My latest EP is called Collapse of the Human Myth, which was recently released by Sleaszy Rider Records. I suggest you give this EP a listen, and I want to thank you for the time you’ve spent; it’s a great honor for me to have an interview with you
