Track By Tracks: Amnesiak - Arkfiend (2025)
1. Deamoniacus:
The track title is two words together, Dea from the Latin that means goddess, and Demoniacus, another Latin term that means demon/demonic. ‘Deamoniacus’ is the intro of the album
‘Arkfiend’, which is also a two-word title, Ark from the Bible, and Archfiend as synonymous with
Devil. The tracks describe the transition from an innocent soul and body to the possession of
a demon, which will change her future and drag her into a killer vortex without any way
back.
2. Archfiend:
The second track of Arkfiend takes one of the many names given to the entity of Satan. We
want to give a religious hint to this song, as the entire album concept is a symbol of human
weakness and their negative side represented as a demon, and for this song, we named the first
official American serial killer Archfiend. The lyrics are about his passion for torturing his victims
until killing them.
3. Flamed In Solitude:
This song is dedicated to Joan of Arc, a heroine of the 14th century, a defender of the French
nation, claiming to be acting under divine guidance, she became a military leader who
transcended gender roles and gained recognition as a saviour of her own country, France. She
was captured by Burgundian troops and handed to the English troop,s who put her on trial on
accusations of heresy, which included blaspheming by wearing men's clothes, acting upon
visions that were demonic, and refusing to submit her words and deeds to the judgment of the
church. She was declared guilty and burned at the stake on 30 May 1431, aged about nineteen.
In 1456, an inquisitorial court reinvestigated Joan's trial and overturned the verdict, declaring
that it was tainted by deceit and procedural errors. Joan has been described as an obedient
daughter of the Roman Catholic Church, an early feminist, and a symbol of freedom and
independence. She is popularly revered as a martyr. After the French Revolution, she became a
national symbol of France. In 1920, Joan of Arc was canonized by Pope Benedict XV and, two
years later, was declared one of the patron saints of France.
4. Pillory Of Victory:
Pillory Of Victory is about a love relationship that involves sexual games and practice, where
the woman played the submissive role. In the meantime, their sexual game got more intense and violent. The
consented situation escalated into a maniacal perversion from the dominant figure; the partner
lifted the fetish situation into an extreme ending, killing the woman. A dramatic end to a fatal
sexual game
5. White Rabbit:
Cover song of White Rabbit of Jefferson Airplane – 1967.
6. Bootlicker:
Bootlicker is about narrow-minded people who, with their judgment, are able to manipulate
people’s destiny. The strong judgment coming from more than one person spreading rumors
and lies about others can destroy a person's reputation, leading to isolation, loneliness,
misunderstanding, and deterioration of the victim's self-confidence, and sometimes to a dramatic
ending called suicide. Bootlicker is a nickname given to a mean, old man who’s been spreading
negative stories about a young woman who got older in a circle of lies and negative experiences
caused by the man’s Jealousy because he never got her. Bootlicker is a soundtrack for all young
people who are different and judged for being outsiders.
7. The Last Rattle:
The Last Rattle is a hymn to people who suffered from living through wartime. The last death
rattle of a woman who lived many dramas and survived the Second World War. She lived with
the never-ending anxiety carved inside by the war bombing, the loss of family members and
friends, ending her last days with the memory loss from all these traumas, which turned into Dementia.
The Last Rattle is a goodbye to her courage and strength in her iconic story, left to us to learn to
fight for a better future and never give up.
