Band Biographies: Glaascats

Glaascats is a DIY trio with a common goal to make music, create merch, draw album covers, and record everything at home. We believe that doing things this way truly connects us to our band and brings coherence to our artistic visions. Amelia Kamber, Alexander Kamber and Jonathan Gay are all based in the French speaking part of Switzerland among the cows in the countryside. Jo and Alex met at a jam session in 2020 which encouraged Alex and Amelia to invite Jo to the band. The three of us were born in music loving families so playing it kind of came naturally. Amelia plays the bass, synthesisers and sings. She started her first singing lessons when she was 8 years old. Jonathan plays mostly drums but is a great guitarist, bassist, synth loving dude and overall skilled with anything technical regarding recording music, mixing or composing songs. Alexander plays the guitar, sings and writes most of the lyrics alongside Amelia. He started the piano when he was 4 but only got to the guitar at the age of 14.
