Behind The Tracks: Hail Your Highness - Reset The Stars (Single) (2025)

Reset The Stars is the moment everything resets, the final exhale of our upcoming EP, Wonderdust. For us, it feels like watching the universe collapse and rebuild itself in slow motion. Lyrically and emotionally, it’s about reaching that breaking point where time, love, and memory all start to blur and realizing that maybe the only way forward is to start again. We’ve been carrying this song for years; the original unfinished version existed three years ago under another name, but it never fully found its shape until now, when we revisited it for this project and re-recorded it ourselves at SHEFREAK Studio (our home studio).

When our engineer Brian, aka Bone, added the ticking clock, it felt like the heartbeat of the entire record and a reminder that every ending counts down to a new beginning. Musically, it’s probably our most dynamic track yet. We pay homage to our heavy, mathy roots in the verses that transition into an almost pop danceable chorus before closing on this huge, cathartic riff, solidifying our signature dream rock sound. Reset The Stars is both a farewell to this project as a whole and a promise: that even when everything falls apart (which it did many times during this whole era for recording Wonderdust), there’s still beauty in being able to rebuild. We've had some early feedback from some of our Patreon and Discord community called "The Starborn" and summed up, they're saying it's our most layered, atmospheric, and dreamy song yet.

The whole EP Wonderdust is a concept mini album that was originally inspired by the novella "Starstruck" by Aimee Ogden as a soundtrack to the story. With a cinematic approach at hand, the project turned into something larger than what the publishing company had originally planned for, and they released all rights back to us so we could fulfill the overall vision and dedicate adequate time to the record so it could reach its full potential. So in an attempt to honor Aimee's characters and still hold true to our sound and vision as a band, we pushed forward to milk every song and slow down the release process to savor each track like a score for the stars. Wonderdust is a 6-song offering to the Starborn; those of us who feel like we've never quite fit into this world and are constantly looking to the skies for answers.
