Interviews About Albums: Hard To Explain - Hell To Pay (2025)
In this new interview, we sat down with the Metal band, Hard To Explain, to ask questions about their album "Hell To Pay".
1. What can you say about this new EP/CD?
Hell to Pay has been in the works for a while, with some songs featured from the beginning of Hard to Explain, and others, more recent creations. It’s a minefield of emotion, and really, it kind of embodies our journey and all the feelings along the way.
2. What is the meaning of the EP name?
Hell to pay - we’ve got hell to pay, we’re back and better than ever, and so so ready for what’s to come.
3. Which one of you is the composer of the EP?
It’s a group effort; we like to share ideas and adapt our parts to suit ourselves.
4. If you had to pick one song, which song would you pick?
My personal favourite (Ash) is Lust, the energy and vibes of the song just send me wild, and it’s soooo much fun to perform.
Chris - Lust
Jonny - Pray to me
Shea - Wolves
5. Is there a special message behind the EP?
I wouldn’t say there is a special message, some secret messages hahaha
I guess the message we want to put out there is work hard, and it will all be worth it!
6. Are there some lyrics you’d love to share?
The lyrics of Wolves hold a special place in my heart. If you come from a big family, the loyalty there is unreal, and Wolves is really about sticking together and how important loyalty is…it’s actually pretty soppy 🤣
7. What inspirations have been important for this EP? Musically, friends, family, a special mention?
Whilst we all have our inspirations, a big reason we make the music we make is because it’s purely us. Our family has always been so supportive throughout everything we’ve done. Massive shout-out to our manager, Jay at Reaction & Sam at Sodeh for everything they do for us! We are forever grateful to everyone who supports us in any way. The fact that we get to do this is something we cherish!
8. Something to add?
To everyone who’s thinking about doing it, write the damn song.
