Track By Tracks: SELIAS - Killkarma (2025)
1. The Day The World Went Away:
A slow-burning, cinematic intro that sets the tone for the chaos ahead. Dark, brooding, and heavy with anticipation. This one is the intro song that sets the mood for KILLKARMA. Instrumental track.
2. Abducted (Single):
This one is special to the vocalist of SELIAS. A committed Vegan, G's lyrics hit close to home with this one. This track is a brutal role reversal — mankind is the one caged, tortured, and processed. Inspired by G’s outrage over the cruelty humans inflict on animals in factory farms and slaughterhouses, its empathy sharpened into a metal blade. Instrumentally, we wanted to incorporate a bigger-sounding buildup and have an anthem-style chorus
3. Bullets (Single):
Bullets hit like a metallic gut punch — no filler, just pure force. Inspired by the unforgiving grind of fight culture, it's a double-edged title: both literal and psychological. BULLETS dives into the fighter’s mindset — the kill-or-be-killed mentality, the hunger to dominate, to take what’s yours. It’s not just powerful. It’s purposeful. Ruthless. Respected. This song was meant as an anchor of the album. A song that had different elements to it, and it slaps you in the face.
4. 888:
Dark and unflinching, “888” confronts toxic masculinity and the cult-like systems that feed it. Heavy, hypnotic, and meant to rattle the soul. One of our favs.
5. Beyond The Switch (Single):
After betrayal and broken trust, BEYOND THE SWITCH marks the moment of clarity — where new bonds are forged, and old bridges are set ablaze. As one of the standout singles from KILLKARMA, the track blends haunting melody with a dark, driven edge — a reflection of moving on, no matter the cost.
6. Don’t Tread on Me (Single):
A venomous strike at power-hungry politicians who climb to the top through fraud, fear, and manipulation. Heavy riffs meet heavier truth. This song was made for energy and to be driven forward. Created a song that doesn’t let up.
7. Cautionary Tale (Single):
Medieval war through a modern metal lens — clashing steel, betrayal, and the brutal lessons history keeps teaching. A Ravens Call that has repeated itself across history.
8. 8818 (Acoustic):
A haunting, stripped-down piece. The acoustic textures give this track a fragile beauty that lingers long after it fades. A song that shares characteristics with 888, the stripped-down version of the killer track is sure to get you wanting more.
9. Six 6 Sicks:
A rallying cry of defiance — the story of a person reclaiming their power and breaking free from the chains of oppression. Fierce, anthemic, and unstoppable. Cool off beat time, chant style chorus. We dig it.
10. Real Eyes Realize:
A deep dive into the invisible walls in our minds — the self-imposed limits and fears that hold us back from moving forward. Crushing yet introspective.
11. Ravens Call (Acoustic):
Melancholic and atmospheric, this acoustic ballad feels like a whisper from the shadows — a softer, yet equally intense, Selia's moment. Song is the acoustic version of the badass single for CAUTIONARY TALE.
12. Flames:
The spark of awakening turned into an inferno. “Flames” is about breaking ranks, opening minds, and igniting a movement toward freedom. One of the first songs written by Killkarma.
13. My Time (Single):
Life is short, the clock is ticking. A call to seize every moment and live with intent, no matter the cost.
14. Twisted Path Reimagined (Acoustic):
A raw, intimate reworking of a fan favorite. The unplugged setting exposes every emotional thread woven into the song. Throwback to HEADSHOT, this stripped-down version brings an eerie end to KILLKARMA.
